Do spiders get cold, I think they do, in which case there are a lot of cold spiders outside right now. For some reason, this makes me very very sad.

I feel bad for the spiders sometimes. I'm always seeing new varieties of spiders on this campus, whether it's on the bridge across the train tracks or crawling into Randi's room. Sometimes though, they build their webs around doors, and then when you open it and try to walk through, spiders fall all in your clothes and hair, and it gives me the heebie jeebies. But in all honesty, I feel bad for the squirrels and chipmunks. I have an afinity for small furry creatures. I saw a squirrel the other day wiping his nose as he hopped through the cold grass with his damp fur and I think he must have had a cold. I'd like to start a refuge for small furry woodland creatures who don't think they'll make it through the winter. Who's with me?
